British cinematographer, born on May 15, 1948 in London. He started his career as a photographer while he was studying at the School of Architecture in London. He attended the London College of Film for two years. Upon graduating, he received a grant from the British Film Institute to make a short film. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work in From the Earth to the Moon (1998) and was nominated twice for an American Society of Cinematographers Award.
