American screenwriter and film producer, born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. He received his degree from Rice University in Texas. Prior to relocating to Austin, he attended the Hanzsen College of Journalism and held the position of student body president. He worked for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services before presenting a number of artistic works. His notable works include Batman (1989) and Beetlejuice (1988).
