A Welsh actor born on 5 September 1962 in Cardiff, Wales, UK. He studied medicine at Brasenose College, Oxford, and the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital. However, he opted for a career in acting right before graduation. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, from which he graduated in 1990. He returned to medical school at the University of Vermont and graduated in 2015. He married Carolyn Stewart, and they have one child. His most notable works include The Last Sin Eater (2007), Highlander (1995-1998), Sanctuary (2008-2011), and 24 (2009).
