An American novelist, screenwriter, and actress, born on August 24, 1971, in Poughkeepsie, New York, USA, to Kit Laybourne, a TV producer and educator, and Geraldine B. Laybourne, an entrepreneur and former TV executive. She studied at Vassar College and majored in English with a focus on creative writing. She began her career as an actress in 1997. She participated in Mystery Men (1999), Superstar (1999), and The In-Laws (2003).
