An Italian singer, born on October 28, 1960. She is the daughter of Italian immigrants, she spent time living in Naples, Italy, and Miami, until she was eighteen. Maria was approached by a young guitarist from a local band, who asked her to join his band and thus began her career. During those early years, she sang with several local Miami bands, and then began to make a name in South Florida. She eventually branched out to sing with bands performing Top 40, pop, jazz, vintage, and R&B. In 1989, Harry Wayne Casey (KC) asked Maria to join KC and the Sunshine band. She appeared in the 2003 feature film The In-Laws.
