An American actor, born on February 18, 1925. He got married three times. In 1968, he won an Academy Award for Cool Hand Luke (1967). He was born to the father of a conductor of a music orchestra and his mother was a ballet dancer. He performed more than 200 films and television series. He participated in most of the films that contain natural disasters, including shipwrecks, plane crashes, earthquakes and volcanoes.
