A Lebanese poet, born in Aleppo, in 1921. Since he was a child, he loved folk poetry. He was distinguished as an improvisational poet who did not resort to preparation but released his spontaneous, loud responses without pretension. He wrote many songs for several famous singers, such as Wadei Al Safi, Sabah, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Warda. He received many different awards for the abundance of his artistic output and the fame of his songs, which reached over 5,000 songs. He passed away in 2005, in Lebanon.
