An Egyptian theater director and critic, born on 14 February 1950. He graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1978 with a degree in drama and theater criticism. He received his postgraduate degree in Theatrical Arts in 1985. He co-founded the Egyptian Theater Club within the National Theater and edited the magazine Theater Club as well. His directorial debut was the play "Dance of Death" (1980). He was elected a board member of the Actors Syndicate in 1988. Other works of his include the play The Roots. He died on 12 December 1997 after a battle with illness.
