American film and television editor, born on August 31, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He studied at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. He also studied ethnographic filmmaking at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. He made his debut as an editor in 1974. He is known for Back to the Future (1985), Judge Dredd (1995), and Contact (1997).
