A Canadian actor, director, and writer, born in Germany to Polish Jewish parents. He took acting lessons, joined the Ottawa Little Theatre, and in 1969, began appearing at the Stratford Festival. He made lasting contributions to theatre in Toronto, co-founding the Canadian Stage...Read more Company. He began his career in 1968 and worked extensively with the Theatre Passe Muraille as an actor and producer. He began working in the United States in the 1970s. His credits include Half a Lifetime (1986), Hitting Home (1988) and The Suicide Murders (1985).
