He is an American actor and writer, born on December 26, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, USA. His parents are Jason Miller and Sue Bernard, and he is the younger half-brother of Jason Patric. He graduated in 1992 from Beverly Hills High School. He attended Antioch College and Yale University and completed his MFA in creative writing at the University of Iowa. He is known for The Final Girls (2015), Near Dark (1987), and Teen Witch (1989). He received two Saturn Award nominations for "Best Performance by a Younger Actor" in And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird (1991) and in Near Dark (1987), as well as several Young Artist Award nominations.
