A former Saudi football player, who played in the advanced midfield position with the Saudi club Al-Shabab and the Saudi national team. He participated in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and his goal against the Belgium national football team in the 1994 World Cup is considered the sixth best goal in the history of the World Cup, and he was later nicknamed the Arab Maradona. He won the Asian Player of the Year award in 1994, making him the most famous Saudi player. He participated in 75 international matches and scored 24 goals. He's known for Firecrackers Youth S13 (2025) and Human Group 3 (2019).
