Northern Irish actor, producer, and director born on 31 May in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. He graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in media studies. He later trained at a drama school in London. He married actress Laine Megaw. His most notable works include Hunger (2008), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), The Good Word (2014), and The Foreigner (2017).
