A British director, born on March 4, 1941, in Peterborough, England. He began his career directing TV commercials before his feature film debut Foxes (1980). He is best known for the films Fatal Attraction (1987), Indecent Proposal (1993), Jacob's Ladder (1990), and Deep Water (2022).
