An English actress, born in Yorkshire, England. She moved to India due to the work of her father, who was a railway engineer. After returning to the United Kingdom, she joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. She won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play, in addition to the BAFTA TV Award in the Best Actress category. Some of her credits are Game of Thrones, Mother Love, and Last Night in Soho. She died on September 10, 2020.
