An American actor, born on August 10, 1916, in Dixon, Illinois, USA. Although John Bryant performed in many works, he was known in the 50s and 60s as the "Marlboro Man" in cigarette ads. Bryant married Janette Read Remick in 1941, and they had one child together, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1946. His notable works include Red Snow (1952), The Bat (1959), and I'll Give My Life (1960). He died on July 13, 1989, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, of cancer.
