Australian actor, producer, and director, born on August 31, 1940 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia as John Hadley Payne. He studied at The University of Queensland. He became an honorary member of the Australian Society of Cinematographers in 2002. His works include Breaker Morant, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
