English actor born on 18 November 1952 in Eltham, London, UK to Jamaican immigrant parents. He moved to San Francisco at 16 and studied acting at American Conservatory Theater, graduating in 1979. His most notable works include Get Shorty (1995), Da 5 Bloods (2020), The Core (2003), and Malcolm X (1992). He married twice and has one child.
