An American casting director and former English and drama teacher, born in Danville, Illinois, United States. She moved to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she obtained a BA in Theater from the University of Minnesota. She married Don Finn, and had one child with him. At the beginning of the 1980s, she was teaching drama at a high school in Michigan. She also taught English literature at the university, and in 1981, the couple moved to live in California, where she began her career as a casting director. She cast a number of unknown actors at the time in major films, such as Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. She won the Artios Award for Best Casting for Feature Film, Drama for L.A. Confidential. She retired in 2006 because of melanoma, which was the cause of her death on November 28, 2007.
