American-born British writer, comedian, director, and actor born on 22 November 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US. He earned a BA in political science from Occidental College in 1962. Due to police brutality and political turmoil in the US in 1966-67, he moved to the UK. He co-founded the comedy troupe Monty Python alongside Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin, and they wrote and performed sketch comedy and had their own TV series. His most notable works include Brazil (1985), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), The Meaning of Life (1983), and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009). Me married Maggie Weston in 1973 and he has 3 children.
