An American screenwriter and editor, born in Connecticut, United States. He studied English at the University of California. He gained wide fame for co-writing with Hampton Fancher the screenplay for Blade Runner (1982), which is an adaptation of Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".
