He is an American actor, born on June 26, 1950, in San Francisco, California, USA. He is a third-generation Chinese American. He went to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He was one of the people who started the Asian-American Theater Company. He is known for The Goonies (1985), Falling Down (1993), and Spy Game (2001). He is married to Christina Ann Chan, with whom he has one child.
