British producer and director born on 3 September 1956 in London, his career extended to a period of 3 and a half decades. He received a Special BAFTA Award in 2019 for his contribution in British cinema. He began his career producing the series The Worst of Hollywood (1983). His most famous works as a producer include Carol (2015), and Michael Collins (1996). He has been married to producer Elizabeth Carlson.
