An American actor, born in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. He played basketball in high school and was elected class beau and a class favorite. In 1974, he graduated from Auburn University, after which he moved to New York to pursue acting. His credits include Seabiscuit (2003), Transformers (2007) and Dallas Buyers Club (2013).
