An English actor, born to writer Alfred Shaughnessy and actress Jean Lodge on 9 February 1955 in London, England, UK. He attended Eton College and the University of Cambridge, where he studied law. Afterwards, he trained at a drama school in London. He married Susan Fallender, and they have 2 children. He received an Emmy Award for voicing the role of Dennis the Goldfish on the animated series Stanley (2002). His other notable works include The Nanny (1993-1999), Mad Men (2008-2009), and The Magicians (2016-2020).
