Swiss cinematographer, born on August 5, 1954, in Zurich, Switzerland. He studied English and art history at the University of Zurich and entered the London International Film School. He was corresponding as a camera assistant and documentary filmmaker in Switzerland. He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) since 2000. He is known for Godzilla (1998) and The Day After Tomorrow (2004).
