She is an American actress, born August 15, 1931 in Norwood, Ohio. She is of Irish descent. and she studied at the Chicago School. She began her artistic career in 1951 in the movie Starlift starring Gary Cooper. She was known as the most versatile actress. She featured many works, including the films The Chase (1966), The Swimmer (1968), and Women (1977). She died on October 17, 2003, Manhattan, New York City.
