American model and actress, born on June 18, 1965 in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended High School in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1983. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she majored in communications and earned a bachelor's degree in Tennessee. She studied acting at Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. She went to New York City to continue her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Art. She has moved to Los Angeles and has appeared in several independent films and starred in the 2001 drama Dickens. She won Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series. Among her most prominent works are Gone Girl (2014), and Fear the Walking Dead (2015).
