An American actor and director. He worked for a period at the beginning of his life in the theater in Scotland, then returned to the United States of America and debuted through the movies Fast Times at the Ridgemont High (1982), and Mask (1985), which was the reason for his fame, after which he took on many roles, the most important of which are in Anaconda, and The Honeymooners. As for directing, he participated in directing a number of episodes of the famous musical TV series Glee, in addition to the series Nashville (2013).
