Christoper Guest is an American director, actor and screenwriter, born on February 5, 1948 in New York City, and graduated from the Institute of Dramatic Arts. In recognition of his great activity in the fields of writing, acting and directing, he won an Emmy Award for his participation in The Lily Tomlin Special. Guest started directing through the movie The Big Picture (1989), followed by the movies Waiting for Guffman, Almost Heroes, and A Mighty Wind.
