An American actor, born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in the Bronzeville neighborhood. He spent several years in a local hospital due to polio. He studied at Hyde Park Academy High School before joining Herzl Junior College (now known as City Colleges of Chicago). He began his career through the singing group Williams Brothers Quartet, then later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Some of his credits are The Jerk (1979) and Dog Day Afternoon (1975).
