An American actress and model, born October 20, 1979, in Queens, New York, to a Czech mother and a Pakistani father. She worked as a model until 2010 when Imtiaz Ali discovered her. She made her Bollywood debut in the movie Rockstar (2011), a film for which she was nominated for many awards. Her other notable work includes Madras Cafe (2013), Main Tera Hero (2014), Spy (2015).
