An American actor and model, born in Chicago and raised in Sacramento, California. After high school, he joined the US Marine Corps, and upon the end of his service, he moved to Seattle. He wanted to join the American football team Seahawks, but was rejected, and he played the sport semi-professionally. He also began modeling, and then appeared in a number of television ads before finding his way to the movie screen. Among his credits are Flash Gordon (1980) and Ted (2012).
