An Indian actress and model, born on November 19, 1975, to a Bengali family, and raised in New Delhi. She was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She made her film debut in the 1996 film Dastak, then she appeared in the film Ratchakan (1997). Two years later, she appeared in Biwi No. 1, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2000 Awards of the International Indian Film Academy. Her other notable work includes Main Hoon Na (2004).
