Scottish singer and composer born in 1958. She began her career in 1979 with the Scottish band Cocteau Twins with guitarist Robin Guthrie and bass player Will Heggie. She made her stage debut at 17 years old. She took part in cinema by singing and contributing in the musical scores of films like In Dreams and The Nightmare Worlds of H.G. Wells.
