British actor, born in Liverpool, England, on February 24, 1926. His career extended from the mid-fifties until the end of the nineties, as he was an accomplished fencer, and worked as a fencing coach at LAMDA, and trained many actors on fencing in films. He made his debut with I Am a Camera (1955) and his last movie was Captain Jack (1999). Among his most important works are: Body Snatchers (1993), The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins (1971), The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom (1968) and The Beiderbecke Affair (1985). He died in London, England, on March 30, 2008 from a motor neuron disease.
