An American writer and producer, born in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He went to Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He became a part-time professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. He was one of 135 people who sought the governorship of California in the 2003 recall election and finished in a tie for 111th place with 474 votes. Wayne State University awarded him an honorary doctorate. He is known for The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019) and Platypus Man (1995).
