An Irish director, actor, and writer, born in Dublin, Ireland. In 1882, his family moved to the English capital, London, where he received his education at King’s College London before becoming a director. He presented vaudeville shows with his wife Helen Oberg. He began a new phase in his life by 1909, as he was running a theater in Pennsylvania before he began presenting silent films. Some of his credits are Ivanhoe (1913) and Sorrell and Son (1927).
