An American stage and television actress, born on June 28, 1966, in Manhattan. Her father was writer and director Peter Masterson, and his mother was actress Carlin Glynn. She studied at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center. She made her debut in The Stepford Wives (1975). Her other notable work includes Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) and Benny & Joon (1993). She was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress In A Musical for her role in the musical Nine in 2003.
