An American writer and director, born in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. He borrowed a typewriter from the New York Herald newspaper to write plays, and in 1908, he was hired to write stories for films. He wrote the film The Adventures of Dollie in the same year. Among his works are In Old Kentucky (1909) and The Rose of Yesteryear (1914).
