Harris Savides was an American cinematographer. He is best known for his work on Gus Van Sant's “Death Trilogy” (Gerry, Elephant and Last Days), and other Van Sant films including “Milk”, “Finding Forrester”, and “Restless”. He also collaborated with David Fincher on “The Game” and “Zodiac”, Sofia Coppola on “Somewhere” and “The Bling Ring”, and Noah Baumbach on “Greenberg” and “Margot at the Wedding”. He was nominated five times for Best Cinematographer in the Independent Spirit Awards, and won the same title twice for his work on “Gerry” and “Elephant” from the New York Film Critics Circle, and was nominated for the same title by the National Society of Film Critics for his work on “Somewhere”.
