An American actor, born in Denison, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied journalism. After graduating from college, Hillerman joined the US Air Force and served for four years. He then turned to acting and his notable works include Blazing Saddles (1974), Chinatown (1974), and The Last Picture Show (1971). He died on November 9, 2017, in Houston, Texas.
