A Bollywood actor, producer, and politician belonging to the Indian National Congress, born on 23 June 1952 in Uttar Pradesh. He started in politics when he joined Janata Dal in 1989. He later joined the Samajwadi Party and was elected Member of Parliament from India for three times. From 1994 to 1999, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha. He was re-elected in the 14th Lok Sabha elections for a second term in 2004. He later joined the Indian National Congress in 2008 and is best known for Bodyguard (2011), Mahabharat (1988), and Pukaar (2014),
