An American actress and singer, born in Kingsville, Texas, United States. At the age of five, she won an amateur competition at the Apollo Theater in Manhattan. She is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama and has performed in many theatrical performances. She was also nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. She is known for Falling Down (1993) and Guess Who (2005).
