An American actor, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA as Nicholas Peter Conte. He earned a scholarship to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City and did some plays before moving to Hollywood. In 1942, he signed with 20th Century Fox. During the fifties, he appeared in some films in Europe and evolved into a B-movie actor. Among his credits are A Walk in the Sun (1945), Call Northside 777 (1948), The Godfather (1972), and Ocean's Eleven (1960). He died of a heart attack on April 15, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
