An American actor, born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He studied at Elmhurst College, graduating in 1966, then joined the University of Chicago in Illinois. He studied acting under the supervision of actor Sanford Meisner, then worked as a writer. He also taught English for two years at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. He is known for United 93 (2006) and Burn After Reading (2008).
