An American writer, producer, and director, who began her directorial journey with the short film To the Moon, Alice (1991), starring Chris Cooper. Later, she wrote, produced, and directed Corrina, Corrina (1994) and I Am Sam (2001), starring Sean Penn. She is also known for Love the Coopers (2015).
