A British-Argentine-American screenwriter, director, and producer, born in London, England, to an Argentine father and a British mother. He studied at Bedales School and completed his studies at Central School of Art and Design. Later, he moved to the United States after being accepted into New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He wrote and directed his film The Lady in Waiting (1992), which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live-Action Short Film. He is known for the series Lost, Six Feet Under, and Teen Wolf. He was nominated for an Emmy Award and two Writers Guild of America Awards.
