Born in 1973, he studied history at the University of Oslo, in addition to studying directing at New York University's Tisch School of Art. He started his career with documentaries, as a reporter, journalist and director, and directed several documentaries for television and cinema. He co-founded a production company in 1997. In 2011, he directed and wrote the movie Reunion -Ten Years After the War.
