A Polish actor and director, born in Heilbronn, Germany. His parents were arrested and forced into forced labor in Germany during World War II, and after his birth, they returned to Poland. In 1968, he graduated from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw and also studied for a year with Piotr Fronczewski. He has appeared in several works, such as The Vulture (2013), Schindler's List (1993), Total Eclipse (1995), You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet (2012), and The Conductor (1980).
